How do I know if I need to detox?

How does detoxification work?

The first thing that has to go down is to flush and eliminate toxins. Everyone has them. Toxins are also eliminated through the kidneys, intestines, lungs and skin so it is important to focus on foods and exercises that pay extra attention to these organs during a detox. Cleansing these organs help ensure that impurities are being properly processed and disposed of efficiently in the body.

The cool thing is your body has the most amazing ability to heal itself when given the right fuel. The most important step of a successful detox is to ease up your toxin load. Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, all of which are obstacles to your healing process.

 

The main focus is to give your body a break from processed foods, dairy and animal products and focus on eating fruits and vegetables: raw or cooked. By pumping your body with phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants your organs go from performing like Mario to Super Mario.
