It’s that time of year again and we intend on soaking up every last bit of holiday cheer. There will always be one extra thing on your to-do list or one more “mega sale” to shop; but we are here to say drop the expectations of a picture-perfect Martha Stewart holiday and just ride the wonderful wave December brings.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS
There is something magical about this time of year: the crispness in the air, the twinkling of the lights and the sprinkling of snow around us. Take time outside for fresh oxygen and fun winter adventures such as sledding, skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating. Go for a stroll with a loved one or take your furry friend out for a spontaneous winter wonderland excursion.
What’s a better way to relax and spend some well-deserved downtime then curled up with a mug of something warm and a few holiday favorites? Feel like a kid again with The Grinch or Home Alone. Throw it back, black and white style, with the classic films It’s a Wonderful Life or Miracle on 34th Street. Grab a cuddle buddy, some mistletoe and put on Love Actually or The Holiday. And don’t forget to tune in to see if Ralphie shoots his eye out in The Christmas Story.
QUALITY FAMILY TIME
This is the time of year to put aside the differences, embrace the quirks and simply enjoy each others’ company. Reminisce on the good times, laugh at the ridiculous stories and make new memories for the years to come.
We all know how the saying goes: “it is better to give than receive.” There is an unmatched sense of joy that comes with finding the perfect gift for someone and then seeing that look on their face when they open it…but, c’mon, getting gifts is pretty awesome too! Appreciate both the spirit of giving and receiving this month- while remembering that the main goal is to spread joy.
